Paradise for lovers of wide open spaces

Noirmoutier

Noirmoutier is in fact a peninsula since it is linked to the mainland by a road, the Gois passage and a bridge. The passage of the Gois is a submersible road and is therefore only passable at low tide. It is a unique place. The first crossing of the Gois took place in 1766 and it is, since 2017, classified as a national and heritage interest.

Discover the Polder of Sebastopol, a nature reserve, where you will see an exceptional fauna and flora. Stop in the salt marshes to fill up on the good salt of Noirmoutier. Stroll through the Bois de la Chaise and admire the beautiful residences and villas of the 19th century. Visit the different villages and beaches of the island…

Noirmoutier is also very appreciated by the lovers of the fishing on foot whose shellfish are a real delight.
